Dont forget the Djinn Essences for the corresponding Rare materials (Ruby, diamond and Saphire). There are also the Geodes that can salvage into the gems or Granite.

What do ya'll feel should be an acceptable level of chance or an acceptable salvage amount?
ie...like the djin essences...chances of ruby/diamond/sapphire is very very slim
ie...cut-off of salvage amouts from collectable drops (>10 per common salvage)

Going by cost/value, even stuff that salvages into 1 feather/granite slab/fibre are much better off being salvaged because of trader value.

Tribal Sword- granite/iron always worth it.
( hulking elemental farming / ascalon )

Amber items and Jade Items can salvage to jade and amber chunks ect...

Havn't had it myself i usually just get wood

I always salvage Granite(27g each + , Iron 15g each + , feathers 30g+?, dust 7-9g each, fibers30g+, and sell to Material trader.
Im roughly guessing amounts as im at work :<.

Wood, bones, cloth, tanned hide.
I sell to the merchant( sometimes getting 4g per common salvage usually 3g).
Usually get them from trying to make room in inventory.

*edit* Thinking about it .. one ruby/saphire would be worth around 170+- granite/feather/p fiber?
would be interesting to save up heaps of HS mods and put them in jeweled daggers ect rather than getting 10-30 granite ect.. from tribal swords..

Oddly enough, I've placed a HS mod onto a jeweled dagger and I only got 1 ruby or sapphire out of it, rather than multiple. But, I only have done this once.

bronze hammers and copper crushers are iron and granite.

I know because I put measure on measure (had 5 panes of them) on so many of these (+ruby mauls) while doing Wisdom.

I've gotten quite a few rubys from ruby dags/mauls, but haven't gotten any with sup salvage on it. What's the most that can be salvaged from that combo?

A list of what gives the most with superior salvages would be very useful.

Canes and briarwood scythes give fair amount of iron
( If they don't salvage into steel at least, which i find annoying)

This is kinda what I had in mind. If I were to list all the minor salvages, the list would be way to large to be helpfull. So inturn I am only listing those that either common slavage into 10+ or salvage into surprising amount when using measure for measure inscriptions. It is possible I might add the commn farm items like glacial stones, dragon roots and saurian bones, but I am not sure it's needed as they are well known.

Personnaly I have obtained most rubies/saphs/diamonds with measures on the items. I have not ahd more than 1 of the forementioned salvaged from 1 item.

It's not a 100% guaranty with rare mats...ie...rubies, sapphires, diamonds, vellum..even with some of the common mats for example chance of wood when trying to salvage bramble bows for fibers.

That is 100% right - many times have i had a weapon that either salvs into iron/dust/fibre or wood and its like flipping a coin - salv or not salv just incase you end up with wood.The various djinn essences have yet to give me any rare mats and thats in over 4 yrs of play and same with ruby daggers etc.

Value of items may play a big part. So a 400gold conch will net more than a 300gold conch with the sup salvage.
